Quality Management at Tchibo
As a brand, Tchibo has a keen awareness of quality for its products and services. This is implemented through a multilevel company's internal quality management system that is based on the elements of DIN / ISO 900ff and guarantees the central quality assurance.Detailed information on the topic can be found here.
Quality assurance measures from receiving to the process control to storage and transport are defined and documented. In our production facilities is ensured that all goods are produced only under the strict quality standards and product specifications. All Tchibo Coffee Service products are delivered in accordance with food regulations, which for us the latest version always shall prevail. Here, both the respective national legislations and the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany are considered. The general asked food hygiene standard is of course guaranteed by our products. General laws of this is the Food and Commodities Act (LMBG) together with its special regulations:

Tchibo is one of the largest coffee supplier in the world. In order to do justice to this role in every aspect, we assume responsibility for the future of the coffee world. This means: We do not only pay attention to delicious taste and best quality, but also on environmental protection and reasonable living conditions of coffee farmers and their families.In Tchibo’s coffee assortment more an more products are offered which are grown considering environmental protection as well as socially accpeted
conditions in regards to live and work. I.e. coffee, which is produced under responsible conditions. These coffees can be identified by for example, the seal of independent organizations like the ‘Rainforest Alliance‘ or 'Fairtrade'. In addition, we have partnered in the 4C Association with many stakeholders
involved in the world of coffee. These members are traders, roasters, coffee farmers, trade unions and many more. Our goal: to change the world of coffeeas a team for the long term and within a sustainable design. Additionally, we promote and build direct projects in the countries where our coffee is originating. In the long term we want to offer only responsible produced coffees. Step by step we are approaching this goal: In 2010, almost ten percent of our coffee was responsibly grown. Only this makes it possible for you to choose from a coffee range which is increasingly variable. Our plans for the future are ambitious.
